Zaira Wasim’s decision of quitting Bollywood took her fans and Bollywood by storm. In a long post, the Dangal actress had penned stating that her religion was interfering with her work. Afterward, many Bollywood celebs reacted to her withdrawal decision. While few supported her, others said that she should have not involved her religion into this. She announced her decision after completing the shoot of The Sky Is Pink.

Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar have kick-started The Sky Is Pink promotions. During Peecee’s interview with Mid-day when she was asked about Zaira’s decision of quitting Bollywood, she said, “It’s a personal choice. Who are we to dictate what someone should and shouldn’t do? She is an amazing actor who has done incredible work. We will always wish her the best. I’ve spoken to her many times, but not about her decision to quit films. That’s none of my business. She’s an amazing artist but maybe it was time for her.”

Earlier in a long post, Zaira wrote, “Five years ago, I made a decision that changed my life forever. As I stepped my foot in Bollywood, it opened doors of massive popularity for me. I started to become the prime candidate of public attention, I was projected as the gospel of the idea of success and was often identified as a role model for the youth. However, that's never something that I set out to do or become, especially with regards to my ideas of success and failure, which I had just started to explore and understand," Wasim said in the lengthy post. The 18-year-old actor said as she completed five years in the profession, she wanted to "confess that I am not truly happy with this identity i.e my line of work".

The Sky Is Pink is slated to be the screens on October 11, 2019.
